Dear Miss Lucy:
I love your website and I am a really big fan! Although I never thought I would need your advice, well, here I am. I just turned 17 and I am seeing a 36 year old woman who was recently widowed. She is a family friend and I am only trying to comfort her, but it has turned into more than that. Now, I am in love with her and she loves me. She says she cannot live without me. She is going to take me to Europe for Spring Break. My parents think I am going to CA with my best friend and his parents. I do not dare tell the truth or they would kill me. I really do love this woman, but lying about it is getting me down. What should I do?
Hopelessly in love with an older woman
Dear Boy Toy,
I do not think.... I KNOW that your parents are going to find out where you went for Spring Break and with whom. Not to mention harboring a minor outside the U.S. means the Government will "ground" her for 5-15 years. Go rent the movie "The Graduate" and pay close attention, my little testosterone machine. When your folks find out about Mrs. Robinson shaking your crib, they should have her head on a platter. Your widow "friend of the family" may need companionship, but you will pay a pretty price providing it. Like your parents trust for starters. You are 17, act like your elders expect you to, while you still can! In other words, go chase the flat bellied, belly button ring wearing cheerleader at the football game.
